A drawing from my trip to Hong Kong and Zhangjiajie in May-June. I also went to Taiwan, but this drawing was completed in the first two places. The night I arrived in HK, there was a thunderstorm. My aunt’s place has an amazing view, it’s the 31st floor on top of a mountain, looking down at the city. When the lightning appeared, the illumination was amazing. Certainly seeing the silhouettes of high rises isn’t what I get at home. I just sat by the window and watched. A memorable first night in HK.
In the morning, no one else in the household knew there was a storm.
The bottom is just a landscape based on the mountains and rock formations in Zhangjiajie. It’s just a fantastical drawing, meshing together a bunch of different scenery elements.
